Our philosophy
Clear, practical, structured training for everyday owners
Lakeshore Canine was founded to provide clear, practical, and structured dog training for everyday owners. We believe effective training comes from clear communication, consistent expectations, and a balanced approach.
Every dog and household is different. Rather than relying on one-size-fits-all programs, our training is individualized to the dog in front of us and the specific challenges owners face day to day. The goal is simple: help dogs understand expectations and help owners apply training confidently in everyday life.
Our services are designed for owners who want long-term results, not quick fixes. Training doesn’t end when a session is over — owner education, follow-through, and support are a core part of how we work.
Meet Blair
Blair Lowe — Owner and Head Trainer
My journey into dog training began in 2018 when I got my first dog. In 2019, after discovering protection sports, I brought home my Belgian Malinois, Zira — a turning point that solidified my passion for training and working dogs.
I went on to work as a professional dog trainer in Ottawa, gaining hands-on experience with both high-drive working dogs and family pets. I later continued my education and training experience in the United States, working with a wide range of dogs across different environments and training styles. This experience shaped my ability to adapt training methods to the individual dog rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all system.
I have over six years of professional training experience and have competed nationally with Zira, earning a PSA 1 Vice National Champion title at PSA Nationals in 2022. I am also a PSA Certified Decoy. My background in protection sports has influenced my standards, discipline, and attention to detail — qualities I bring into every training program, regardless of the dog or goal.
